Miradur
Miradur™ is a paper-based vinyl cover material very suitable for hardbound book, luxury packaging, menu and wine cards. Its main characteristics are a trendy look, durability and a pleasant feel. The material weight is 210 g/m2.
The luxurious leather-like Monaco (Miradur)is ideal for products with finished, rounded corners due to its thin, inconspicuous base material. Timeless colours combined with a luxurious leather-like finish give the product a chic look.
Miradur is easily bonded with animal and PVA dispersion adhesives. EVA adhesives are recommended for best adhesion to vinyl and the material also adheres well to foil embossing.
Kestoboard
Kestoboard™ is a cardboard-based cover material and, as such, is suitable for perfectly bound books with flexible covers, such as Bibles, songbooks, dictionaries and notebooks. Kestoboard products are available in 290 g/m2 - 360 g/m2.
Miradur and Kestoboard are finished with water-based varnish, which improves wear resistance, appearance and durability. The material is dirt-resistant and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Books can be designed using digital, foil, screen and UV offset printing. Furthermore, Miradur and Kestoboard cover materials can be welded by thermal, high-frequency and ultrasonic welding.
Miradur and Kestoboard are manufactured without harmful phthalates and from raw materials that comply with REACH regulations (aimed at the environment and human health). The paper used is FSC certified: NC-COC-029615-CF - FSC Mix Credit.
Both materials are available in one- and duo-tone with various pressings.
